As an extension of their yearlong studies, the Elementary Gifted and Talented students went on a field trip to DELRIVER and University of Delaware Wind Turbine project in Lewes. Students got to board the DELRIVER oil spill recovery vessel and to visit and learn about the wind turbine project by building their own wind turbine.
Just a few pictures from schools across the district...... Students and their families enjoyed an evening in Super Mario Land solving STEM challenges such as Yoahi's Egg Drop, Luigi's Power Towers, Toad's Trampoline, and Bowzer's Exploding Toothpaste... just to name a few! They also had fun with animals from CR's FFA, Grass Roots Animal Rescue, and more! Students in Mrs. Wilson's class at Postlethwait Middle School competed in their own version of "Chopped" on Tuesday, March 21st. Teams chose their own recipes and then prepared them for a tough panel of judges! The winning recipe was low fat honey ginger chicken breast. Yummy! |
